My beginning.

May 9, 2009 by lvonlanken

Welcome to my blog.  I’ve been doing genealogy research for years, and now I feel a strong desire to begin writing the story of my family.  I’d like to make this blog a place to document my research steps as well as a place for my scattered ideas for family stories to be collected and to germinate.  To me, the hardest part of writing has always been to begin.  This is my beginning…

Hi and congratulations on your beginning… I admire and applaud what you’re doing with this blog and your family history search.

I’m a “rookie” genealogist. I’ve just begun researching my family history and your first blog posts about your research methods are wonderful and most helpful.

I’ve also maintained a “family and friends” blog for almost a year now and would like to incorporate my newfound hobby in the blog. Your blog will be an inspiration as well as a guide (i.e. I may steal some of your ideas! ;)

    Gotta’ run,
    Kenny

    Welcome to the GeneaBlogosphere!

Thank U for stopping by Musings of a Mad Macedonian!

I am so glad to find someone else rootin’ around in Kentucky!

I have ties to Owesnboro, Fordsville, and other parts of KY I’m not sure about, and only in the last year or so have I made enough progress to add to, and complicate the mysteries that are my Mothers various, Maternal, and Paternal, ancestors. ;-D

KY & Indiana are the hide-outs to the answers to these mysteries, and I’m re-organizing to continue my quests. ;-D

Thanks for checking out my blog! Sometimes, I feel like there’s only a handful of people researching in Kentucky, so I’m glad to meet you! I also have ties in Indiana from 1935 and forward! Good luck with your organizing and society work!
